The artwork for A Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders is like the “Impeach the President” of album covers: bitten sampled a million times over. The latest interpretation comes from NYC-based artist/designer Brian Wood, who collaborated with Brooklyn boutique Vinnie’s Styles on a limited-edition T-shirt that pays homage to the greatest ’90s MCs. The usual suspects—Nas, Jigga, Pun, ‘Pac, etc.—are all here, but special props to Mr. Wood for including Sadat X in the mix. Also, unlike some of those janky hip-hop illustrations you might see at your local barbershop, the rappers on the shirt actually resemble their real-life counterparts. Word is bond. Complex.com
